ISKE 2025 Special Session on Al and Knowledge Engineering in Mental Health

The 2025 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE 2025) is the 20h in a series of ISKE conferences. The conference will be held in Shunde, a beautiful place in southeast of China.

The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE Press (sent to be EI indexed). Special issues of SCI indexed journals will be devoted to a strict refereed selection of extended papers presented at ISKE 2025.

Scope and Motivation

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the landscape of psychological and psychiatric care by enabling intelligent, adaptive, and data-driven tools for the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients.

The increasing prevalence of emotional disorders highlights the need for interdisciplinary research and supports the development of personalized tools through algorithmic models based on machine learning, natural language processing, and knowledge engineering.

This special session focuses on the application of intelligent systems and AI-based methodologies to tackle the complex challenges in mental health. It aims to bring together researchers and professionals working on AI tools for the early detection of affective disorders, patient monitoring, and clinical decision support systems—whether non-intrusive, gamified, or hybrid.

Intelligent systems offer scalable, personalized, and non-invasive solutions that can significantly enhance both diagnosis and treatment outcomes. Contributions involving wearable technologies, portable sensors, and virtual agents for real-time monitoring and therapeutic support are especially encouraged.
