ISKE 2025 Special Session on Integrated Intelligence of Sensing and Control
The 2025 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE 2025) is the 20th in a series of ISKE conferences. The conference will be held in Shunde, a beautiful place in southeast of China.
The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE Press (sent to be EI indexed). Special issues of SCI indexed journals will be devoted to a strict refereed selection of extended papers presented at ISKE 2025.
Scope and Motivation
“Integrated intelligence of sensing and control” is a cutting-edge research field that aims to achieve efficient information acquisition, processing, and decision-making by deeply integrating sensing, communication, and control functions, thereby meeting the demands of complex systems for intelligence and efficiency. Traditional research methods rely on precise mathematical models with limitations in complex dynamic environments. In recent years, Artificial Intelligence technologies have been introduced, leveraging data-driven approaches and machine learning and deep learning algorithms to enhance the adaptability and generalization capabilities of systems.
In terms of applications, the technology has been widely used in scenarios such as autonomous driving, robotics, and smart manufacturing. For example, it enables more accurate environmental perception and decision control through multi-sensor fusion (such as cameras, LiDAR, and millimeter-wave radar), achieving more precise object recognition, path planning, and real-time environmental understanding. In the robotics field, the technology has driven the autonomous operation of robots in complex environments. For example, multimodal large language models combined with vision, language, and physical interaction have significantly improved robots' understanding and response in complex operational scenarios. Additionally, by integrating high-performance hardware (such as robotic arms and dexterous hands) with advanced control algorithms, robots can achieve agile movement and precise operation in dynamic environments. In the context of smart manufacturing, it has realized the intelligence and efficiency of the production process by integrating sensing, computing, communication, and control functions. It not only enhances the intelligence level of production systems but also provides more flexible resource management and decision support for enterprises, driving the manufacturing industry towards a more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable direction.
